What is it?
The Fisher Area Community Fund (FACF) was established in 2011 to provide financial support
for charitable, educational and public purpose activities, projects, or services that enhance or
otherwise improve the quality of life enjoyed by residents and/or visitors of the Fisher Area.
FACF will be a catalyst in stimulating projects that improve the quality of life in the community
and help achieve the Fisher Area’s vision for its future. This vision helps Fisher create momentum for success, focus energies, and move forward with a united desire to achieve community goals.
How does it work?
Tax-exempt contributions are made to the Northwest Minnesota Foundation (NMF) on behalf of the FACF endowment. The Bremer Foundation matched the first $50,000 to help get our endowment started. Any interest on the endowment is then transferred to a project fund and the Fund Advisory Committee, made up of community members, is able to grant those funds to the community.
How do I contribute?
Contributions can be made online at www.nwmf.org
Checks can be made payable to NMF-FACF with "endowment" in the memo line and sent to:
